Are you a sous-chef who loves cooking delicious food, variety and a good atmosphere in the kitchen? Then we\u2019re looking for you.<\/p>\n

At Garnwerd aan Zee, you\u2019ll be working in a unique location right on the banks of the Reitdiep. From a busy summer\u2019s day on the terrace to a lavish dinner, a wedding or a big party: no two days are the same here.<\/p>\n

We are looking for a chef who can take their place in the kitchen independently, but who, above all, wants to be part of a friendly and ambitious team.<\/p>\n

What are you going to do?<\/h2>\n

As a sous-chef, you and your colleagues are responsible for everything that comes out of our kitchen. You\u2019ll be working in a spacious, modern kitchen and will be given plenty of freedom to practise your craft to the full.<\/p>\n

  • Independently preparing and cooking lunch and dinner dishes;<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring quality, taste and presentation;<\/li>\n
  • Contributing ideas for new dishes and our menu;<\/li>\n
  • Mise-en-place and thorough preparation of the kitchen;<\/li>\n
  • Working alongside the kitchen team during busy periods;<\/li>\n
  • Preparing food for parties, weddings, drinks receptions and other events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    One day you\u2019re serving a busy lunch and dinner service, and the next day we\u2019re preparing a big party, a buffet or a multi-course dinner. It\u2019s precisely this variety that makes working at Garnwerd aan Zee so special.<\/p>\n

      Who are we looking for?<\/h2>\n

      Above all, we\u2019re looking for someone who\u2019s passionate about the role and keen to become part of our team.<\/p>\n

      • Experience as a sous-chef;<\/li>\n
      • Able to work independently and in an organised manner;<\/li>\n
      • You can stay calm when things get hectic;<\/li>\n
      • Has a positive attitude and thinks in terms of solutions;<\/li>\n
      • Enjoys working with colleagues;<\/li>\n
      • Is creative and enjoys trying new things;<\/li>\n
      • Flexible availability is required. Fixed days off may be possible by mutual agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Garnwerd aan Zee is a catering venue on the Reitdiep in the village of Garnwerd in Groningen. Our restaurant and large terrace attract guests all year round, with summer being the absolute highlight.<\/p>\n

        As well as serving lunch and dinner, we regularly host weddings, parties, drinks receptions, business meetings and other events. For you as a chef, this means plenty of variety, high-quality ingredients, both large and small gatherings, and plenty of opportunities to showcase your skills.<\/p>\n
